Liebe Leserinnen und Leser, dear readers and music lovers!
(English version below)

Kunstpause

The artist's only recourse, Joni Mitchell believes, is to run free.
"There was always a feeling that if you illuminate something, perhaps you could make things better. That's the work of poetry."

Alles Liebe,
Britta

Dear readers and music lovers!
Today, Friday the 13th you all should have a lot of luck and success!!!
Let's see what else is happening with me.

Dramatic break
"It's not that bad! You can read and compose and do such beautiful things!" was said to me this morning as I sat in bed in a bad mood with my coffee and a fresh, still positive Corona test.
Fortunately, on day 4 after the PCR result, I'm already feeling really good again.
Severe cold symptoms had slowed me down a lot and taken me out of the general action, but today I would have a lot to do and also the strength to do it.
But I am not allowed!
Quarantine is announced. Isolation!
Sure! Such a break is also good, but does it have to be now?
Well, it never fits anyway.

It's a matter of letting go and not getting angry.
After more than 2 years of the Corona pandemic and a life with omnipresent restrictions, hygiene rules, bans, precautions, cancellations and postponements, we should be used to dealing with change by now, we should have learned to be flexible, patient and alone, not to lose courage and to make the best of it.
Honestly - I am very annoyed! Maybe it's because I'm sick and impatient at the moment.
There is a heaviness in me that I don't usually know. Apparently, however, the crisis is deep in the bones of many people. Hopefully it will get better soon!
How is it with you?

A truth comes to light
Well, I can really spend the time writing more music or newsletters. I'm motivated, it's fun, it's easy and as long as I don't think about commerciality and marketing, it keeps me going. Besides, I learn a lot about truth.
One, because THE truth does not exist! You see through your own glasses, what you put into the light. Or what someone else puts into the light for you.
That's what art does. Artists show their truth and you learn something about your truth. That is the exchange!

The artist's only recourse, Joni Mitchell believes, is to run free. "There was always a feeling that if you illuminate something, perhaps you could make things better. That's the work of poetry."

And I firmly believe that if we shine a light inside ourselves, listen, be in good with ourselves, we can change the world, because then we can get it out there and make the world a little better. But sometimes it's not so easy to be free from the opinion of others and to follow your own way consequently and also to be in trouble sometimes.
